Elye Wahi reportedly wants to join Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
According to The Times, Chelsea are interested in signing Elye Wahi from Montpellier this summer.
The report has claimed that Chelsea have already made a bid of £23 million for the striker.
Montpellier have turned it down.
Atletico Madrid and Eintracht Frankfurt are also keen on securing the services of the France Under-21 international striker in the summer transfer window.
The Times has added that Wahi “has agreed personal terms with Chelsea”.
West Ham United have also been linked with Wahi, while Tottenham Hotspur are reported to be interested in the striker as well.
RMC Sport reported this month that Arsenal have made contact for the signing of the 20-year-old French striker.
Chelsea need to step up Elye Wahi pursuit
In our opinion, if Chelsea are determined to sign Elye Wahi in the summer transfer window, then they should make a new and improved bid for the Montpellier striker.

If the striker has agreed personal terms with the Blues, then it indicates that he really wants to play for the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners.
With the likes of West Ham United, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal all keen on Wahi, the only way that Chelsea could guarantee themselves of signing the striker is to make the biggest bid.
The 20-year-old striker made 29 starts and four substitute appearances in Ligue 1 for Montpellier last season.
The youngster scored 19 goals and gave five assists in those games.
Wahi made 21 starts and 12 substitute appearances in Ligue 1 for Montpellier in 2021-22.
The striker scored 10 goals and provided two assists in those matches.
