Slavia Prague striker Abdallah Sima is in “constant contact” regarding a move to a European giant, his agent has told Sport amid links with Arsenal.

While The Gunners aren’t exactly playing like one of the continent’s giants at the moment, the reputation cultivated during 20 trophy-laden years under Arsene Wenger still goes a long way in the transfer market.

And, if an offer arrives from the Emirates in January, Sima would surely be tempted by the prospect of swapping the Czech champions for Arsenal – even if they are sitting closer to the relegation zone than the Champions League places at present.

Last week Calciomercato reported goal-shy Arsenal are interested in a Senegalese hot-shot who has hit the net 13 times in 19 matches already, earning comparisons with Highbury legend Thierry Henry.

Signing Sima next month would be easier said than done, however, with Slavia president Jaroslav Tvrdik claiming bids below £50 million won’t be considered.

Fortunately, the 19-year-old isn’t exactly pining for a move, having only joined Slavia in July.

“We know about the interests of the four big clubs and are in constant contact with them,” agent Daniel Chrysostome explains. “It’s the first time in my career I’ve been dealing with clubs like that.

“(But) Sima is completely satisfied in Slavia.

“He has some great qualities. He’s incredibly strong, especially mentally. He’s very quiet in his personal life and focuses only on football.

“That’s a huge advantage for him. He’s an adult with everything and he’s incredibly intelligent.”

With Arsenal suffering yet another defeat away at Everton on Saturday, it doesn’t feel like the ideal time for a teenager, albeit an incredibly talented one, to make a potentially career-defining move to Europe’s most high-profile league.

Juventus have also been linked with Sima while, according to former Slavia captain Thomas Soucek, West Ham have also been keeping a close eye on the youngster (Sport).
