Kevin Campbell says he would take Jude Bellingham at Arsenal ‘in a heartbeat’ after rumours that Liverpool have backed away from trying to sign the Borussia Dortmund star during the summer transfer window.

The former striker was speaking about how near-on every top Champions League club is being tipped to sign Jude Bellingham, but ‘no mention of Arsenal’.

Whilst Mikel Arteta’s side have a fight on their hands with Manchester City for the Premier League title, one thing is for sure, they will be returning to play against the elite next season.

During the past summer transfer window, the Gunners managed to bring in two Champions League quality players, Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko, so imagine who they will attract when they are playing in club football’s biggest competition.

Could one of those names possibly be England’s rising teenage star Bellingham? Whilst Campbell is certainly hoping so, in the end, he thinks he will end up at Real Madrid, as he told the Football Show on Sky Sports (13/04/23 at 11:55 am).

“Not many mentions of Bellingham to Arsenal,” said Campbell. “I think he has been virtually linked with all of the teams in the Champions League. Arsenal will qualify for the Champions League this season.

“I would take Jude Bellingham in a heartbeat. I think he will have the pick of the European clubs. I could see him ending up at Madrid, if I am honest.”

WHO WILL SIGN BELLINGHAM?

From a financial perspective, Manchester City can probably push ahead of everybody, then there is the might of the current European Cup holders, Real Madrid.

Perhaps Manchester United, who are on course to return to the Champions League, might also want to have their say.

Or maybe, just maybe, Bellingham stays at Dortmund and helps push a team, that could win the Bundesliga title this season, up another level.
