The Blues boss wants to see his side running and pressing more despite sitting second in the table.
Everton manager Ronald Koeman has told BBC Sport that his side still have to run and press more despite their strong start to the season.
The Blues beat Middlesbrough 3-1 on Saturday to make it four consecutive wins in the Premier League.
They are unbeaten in their first five games and currently sit second in the table, their best start to a league campaign since 1978.
It is fair to say that their football in those five games has been superb, with the likes of Idrissa Gueye, Romelu Lukaku, and Yannick Bolasie currently flourishing.
Their manager is not entirely happy, though, telling BBC Sport that he still wants to see improvement in two areas.
“It’s a good start in terms of points but the most important thing is the way we get the points,” he said.
“You see the reaction of the fans, they like it. The team is more aggressive but they need to run more and press more.”
A look at the stats shows that Koeman may have a point when it comes to his side’s pressing abilities.
So far they have managed to win the ball in the offensive third on 12 separate occasions, an average of 2.4 times per game.
That is the 14th best record in the division in this moment in time, far behind leaders Manchester City, who have managed it 6.2 times per game.
Perhaps that is the kind of record the Everton manager wants from his side as they look to be a force this season.
