RC Grasse defender Lorenzo Vinci spoke to Actufoot about his former teammate and West Ham new-boy Said Benrahma.
The Hammers signed the Algerian on a season-long loan deal from Brentford in the summer transfer window. The deal will be made permanent for £25 million (Goal) at the end of this season, and West Ham fans can’t wait to see him in full flow.
Benrahma was a star in the Championship for Brentford last season. The 25-year-old scored 17 goals and provided 10 assists for the Bees, and it was evident that a big move to a top-flight club was only a matter of time.
Vinci spent a season with Benrahma when the duo played for Nice in France a few years ago. The right-back has labelled the West Ham man as a true magician and claimed that he is capable of doing anything he wants with the ball.
Vinci: Benrahma is a true magician
Asked about the most technical player he has ever played with, Vinci said: “For me, there’s no debate. It’s Said (Benrahma)! He impressed me so much when we played together. He was capable of doing anything he wants in any space he had. A true magician.”

Benrahma only has a couple of substitute appearances under his belt at West Ham so far, and he already has an assist to his name. The former Brentford man has been called up by Algeria for their games against Zimbabwe on Thursday and Monday.
That will help him get to full fitness, and West Ham fans can finally hope to see him from the start when winless Sheffield United host the Hammers in the Premier League.
