Danny Rose has claimed that it was ‘impossible’ to be a bad trainer under Mauricio Pochettino at Tottenham, as he told Ben Foster’s Cycling GK channel.

The left-back shared that Pochettino valued Tottenham’s training sessions ‘as much as the game’ at the weekend.

Those days under Pochettino must seem a long-distance away for the Spurs fans because they have fallen in an incredible fashion since his days in the dugout.

And when Rose, who is now at Watford, was asked by his new teammate, Foster, about who was the worst trainer at Spurs, he issued this response.

“I have to be honest,” said Rose. “Since Pochettino came to the club, it was impossible to be a bad trainer. Impossible.

“Yes, yes (it was just high-tempo all the time). He valued training as much as the game. So, it was impossible.”

It’s a shame how Rose’s career ended at Spurs and how things ended between himself and Pochettino.

For large periods, he was seen as a bit of a teacher’s pet, but before Pochettino’s sacking, he was out of the picture and that situation only worsened under Jose Mourinho.

And whilst Pochettino aims to win trophies in the colours of PSG, Rose will be hoping to help Watford maintain their Premier League status after their promotion.
