There are not many 19-year-olds who have donned the iconic kits of Barcelona and Real Madrid before they reach adulthood.

There are even fewer who have been hailed as a future superstar by not only Zinedine Zidane but Andres Iniesta too.

Clearly, Takefusa Kubo is something rather special.

Then again, if you saw a fresh-faced winger who looks even younger than his 19 years tear Barcelona’s defence to shreds, you won’t need us to tell you that Kubo has the world at his twinkling toes.

A teen sensation who’s nimble footwork and magical left-foot have drawn inevitable comparisons with a certain Lionel Messi, the Real Madrid wonderkid has looked every inch a future superstar during a loan spell at Real Mallorca this season.

And if Los Blancos are willing to farm Kubo out again in the summer, they won’t be short of offers.

AS claims that Celtic are keen to let the Asian sensation hone his trade in one of Europe’s most feted finishing schools.

If The Hoops can fight off competition from Lazio, AC Milan, Ajax and more, then the Parkhead faithful will soon be left wowed by a player who has left two legendary playmakers picking their jaws up from off the floor.

Immense

“We’re talking about a player with immense talent and a great future ahead of him,” Iniesta told AS of a player who broke records aplenty in Barcelona’s La Masia academy before a transfer ban forced him to returnto Japan.

“He is one of the most gifted players in the world right now and I’m not surprised he’s with a big club.”

Kubo returned to Spain last summer and, just to rub salt into the wounds, signed a long-term deal with Barcelona’s bitter rivals.

And, with James Rodriguez, Luka Modric and Toni Kroos not getting any younger, a place in Real Madrid’s first-team could be heading his way sooner rather than later.

“I think he’s having a good season,” Real Madrid boss Zidane adds (One Football).

“He’s playing a lot and that’s what we all wanted. He is a very interesting player, for the present and the future. I’m happy he’s doing well.”

Virgil van Dijk, Moussa Dembele, Odsonne Edouard, Kieran Tierney were all set on the path to stardom at Celtic.

So if Real Madrid accept an offer from a Glasgow giants, they should be confident that Kubo will return to the Bernabau a player transformed.
