Is Joao Felix to Arsenal actually happening?
Well, that’s what the talk is about.
This week, Relevo reported – as covered by HITC Sport – that Arsenal had made contact with Atletico Madrid for their £113 million signing of 2019 [The Daily Mail].
Prior to that, Give Me Sport reported that the Gunners’ hierarchy were very keen on the Portugal international.
And another public figure who likes the 23-year-old is former Arsenal hitman Kevin Campbell.

Speaking to The Highbury Squad channel on YouTube, Campbell argued that Felix is ‘immaculately’ set up to join Mikel Arteta’s side, albeit out on a loan initially.
He said: “It might work out to be another of those ‘try before you buy’! Of course [it could be a loan]. The profile fits everything. It fits immaculately, but before we want to buy, we want to try.”
Not everyone is a fan of Felix, though.
At Euro 2020 18 months ago, Roy Keane labelled the player an ‘imposter’ following a poor performance for Portugal.
He told ITV Sport, as quoted by The Daily Mail: “Felix when he came on, that guy is an imposter. He comes on and the country needs you, just hit the target, he’s what, £100million?”

Is the reported Arsenal target an imposter, as Keane claims?
In short, no.
He’s a phenomenal talent and someone who could probably fit into Arteta’s plans at the Emirates Stadium like a glove.
He’s a perfect footballer for the Spanish manager and it’ll be fascinating to see whether the rumorus have any substance whatsoever.
