If rumours are believed, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in a certain Leon Bailey.

According to German publication Sport1, Spurs are set to watch the Bayer Leverkusen winger in tonight’s Europa League clash with Rangers.

The report adds that Bailey – linked with a £85 million transfer to England in March [The Express] – has joined a different management agency, which indicates a desire to leave the Bay Arena.

Tottenham have been linked with quite a few players during the summer so far, but the 22-year-old Jamaican is certainly one of the most interesting.

And here’s how fans of the North London club reacted to a possible deal:

Signing up Bailey – who has three years left on his Leverkusen contract – would render Erik Lamela surplus to requirements, surely.

The Argentine certainly has his fair share of fans within the Lilywhites’ fanbase but, as an attacking player, 16 goals and 23 assists in 154 Premier League appearances might not be productive enough to save him.
