Arsenal fans have called for Mathieu Flamini to join Daniel Ek’s consortium and invest in the club.

ITV have reported how Stan Kroenke could be given an offer for Arsenal in the next few days by Ek.

The Spotify founder is currently in discussions with Patrick Vieira, Dennis Bergkamp and Thierry Henry, as they look to launch a takeover bid, with pressure mounting on the Kroenkes to sell up.

Arsenal supporters have protested outside the Emirates Stadium, as they want new ownership.

Some Arsenal feel that by bringing Flamini on board, they would have even more chance of buying the club.

ESPN report that Flamini is not currently part of the consortium attempting to buy Arsenal.

However, the French midfielder has built up a sizeable fortune since leaving football.

Flamini is described as an ‘environmental entrepreneur’ after going into business following his retirement from football.

And Arsenal fans feel that with Flamini on board the finances of the group could be topped up even further.

Kroenke has regularly been criticised for not investing enough into Arsenal’s team.

The Gunners are expected to operate on a sell to buy basis this summer, but many fans are hoping that with new ownership in charge, Mikel Arteta may have more money to spend.

During his playing days Flamini made 246 appearances for the Gunners, across two stays with the North London club.
