Some Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter are reacting to potentially signing former Arsenal goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez.
The Argentina international quit Arsenal to join Aston Villa in a £20 million deal 14 months ago.
Martinez has been a revelation under Dean Smith and according to The Independent, Tottenham are keen on bringing him back to North London.
Hugo Lloris remains a fine goalkeeper for Spurs but, long term, the Lilywhites are going to need somebody else.

Legacy
Martinez has already sort of soured his legacy at Arsenal.
He helped Mikel Arteta’s side to an FA Cup title in 2020 but since leaving, countless negative interviews have kind of tarnished the positive legacy that he left behind.
But it’s nothing compared to what those at the Emirates Stadium will think of him if he joins Tottenham.
Moving to their North London rivals would forever kill his ties with Arsenal supporters.
Having said that, he might get a bigger move if he bides his time.
This is probably one of the world’s best goalkeepers, one who helped his country to a long-awaited Copa America title during the summer.
And if he has another stellar season at Villa Park then honestly, he’ll have bigger clubs than Tottenham banging his door down.
