Conor Gallagher has been a revelation for Crystal Palace this season, and fans have taken the drastic step of setting up a GoFundMe page to finance a permanent move for the midfielder.

The on-loan Chelsea star has been a breakout star in the Premier League this campaign. Gallagher was key to Palace’s 3-1 win over Everton on Sunday, and now fans have created a GoFundMe link to help push the club in signing the 21-year-old.

The page, created by Palace supporter Jack Dodd, has a goal of £50m to bring Gallagher to the Selhurst Park club in 2022 on a permanent deal, with the GoFundMe currently raising a modest £60 to the cause.

With six goals and three assists to his name in the Premier League, Gallagher has been outstanding for Palace this campaign. Patrick Vieira landed a coup with the Chelsea midfielder, and it would be perfect if the Eagles can retain the youngster.

Indeed, the midfielder could well become a cornerstone for Palace in the future if the south London side can pull off a permanent transfer for the Chelsea academy graduate. And the creation of a GoFundMe page for Gallagher shows just how much fans want the England youth stat to stay.

Whilst it is extremely unlikely that the fundraiser will reach its £50m goal, fans on social media are in disbelief that such a page has even been created following Gallagher’s Man of the Match display on Sunday.
