A selection of Leeds fans feel Villa have fallen to the curse of beating them and then going on to lose their next match.
Even though Marcelo Bielsa’s men are a newly-promoted side, the sheer work they put into games takes the life out of opposition players, and whether you win or lose, they test you to your limits.
And some Leeds fans feel that Villa may have been burned out from that weekend win at Elland Road.
Not only that, following Jack Grealish’s tweet straight after Villa’s win, it’s no surprise to hear that many Leeds fans were mimicking his comments after their surprise loss to the Premier League’s bottom-of-the-table club.
Grealish, just like the weekend, was absent for Villa yesterday because he is still nursing an injury.
But Villa shouldn’t need their expert ball-carrier to beat a team who had only recorded three Premier League wins before today.
Either way, a selection of Leeds fans enjoyed Villa falling to a defeat days after being jubilant in Yorkshire.
