Some Tottenham fans on social media have been reacting after they were linked with a move for Barcelona’s Lucas de Vega.
Spurs are yet to make their first summer signing, but if reports are to be believed, they’re keen to bring de Vega to north London.
De Vega has been very open about the fact he wants to join Spurs in the past, and as you can imagine, fans were quite interested to see that they were linked to this 21-year-old.
Understandably, Spurs fans didn’t know too much about de Vega as a player. After all, he’s never actually played a senior minute for Barcelona’s first-team, but they’re still excited nonetheless.
We can understand why as well. You don’t end up on the books at Barcelona unless you’ve got something about you, and given the right opportunity, de Vega could show his talents in the Premier League.
One fan was rather excited about the prospect of a Barcelona youth player linking up with Antonio Conte in north London amid rumours the Italian could be Spurs’ next manager.
Another supporter wondered if this was the work of Fabio Paratici, who is reportedly set to join Tottenham as their new Director of Football in the coming days, while others praised the club for having the pull to bring a player in from Barcelona.
