Some Aston Villa fans on social media have been waxing lyrical about Phil Foden after his outstanding performance on Wednesday evening.
The young Englishman has enjoyed a breakout season at Manchester City, and his showing against Villa was arguably his best of the season.
Villa are a tough nut to crack, but despite the fact he was coming up against quality opposition, Foden absolutely ran the show.
The midfielder bagged the equaliser for City, while his all-round performance was just impossible to deal with.
City fans were full of praise for him, but perhaps surprisingly, Villa fans came out in their droves to praise him online.
Indeed, supporters couldn’t believe what they were seeing, while other fans pondered the exciting prospect of Foden playing alongside Jack Grealish in the England team.
