Leeds United beat Wolves 3-2 on Friday evening, and they did it in typical fashion.
Three second-half goals from Leeds saw them come from 2-0 down to win, and while Leeds have a reputation of coming back in this fashion, the most ironically predictable part of this game were the Whites’ injury issues.
Diego Llorente, Mateusz Klich and Patrick Bamford all went down injured, but perhaps the most frustratingly typical injury issue Leeds picked up was for Illan Meslier.
Indeed, almost every Leeds player has now suffered with injury this season, and the image of a goalkeeper coming off after three players already had to be substituted just about sums up Leeds’ season.

This image of an injured Meslier perfectly summarises Leeds’ season.
The Whites have struggled this year, and while this campaign may be remembered for some dodgy defending and shoddy transfer business, it’s injuries that have defined this season for Leeds.
Patrick Bamford, Liam Cooper, Kalvin Phillips, Diego Llorente, Junior Firpo and Luke Ayling have all been long-term absentees at one point or another, and even their goalkeeper is suffering now.
Call it a curse or bad luck or just plain old sod’s law. Leeds have had awful luck with injuries this season, and Meslier picking up a problem in the middle of a game just about sums that up.
