It’s been a great week for injury news at Leeds United.
Rodrigo Moreno looks like he’s back in training, having been seen posing at Thorp Arch, and now it seems as though Ian Poveda’s recovery has stepped up a notch.
The Whites’ winger has been out of action for a number of weeks now with an ankle injury, but it seems as though he’s now back out on the grass.
One eagle-eyed Leeds United fan spotted him doing some work on the training ground in the background of the U23s’ game at Thorp Arch.
It’s obviously hard to make out due to the fact that he’s far away from the camera and the focus is on the U23s’ game, but this is certainly Poveda.
His trademark hair is a dead giveaway, and there also aren’t many players of a similar height to Poveda at Leeds, with the ex-Man City man standing at just 5 ft 5.
It’s great to see him back out on the pitch, but it doesn’t look as though his return will be all that imminent as he appears to be doing his drills away from the main group, and he’s clearly not involved with the U23s as they’re playing on the pitch in front of him.
Hopefully, the winger will be back in action sooner rather than later.
