Paris Saint-Germain summer signing Carlos Soler has expressed that he is ‘very glad’ for Bryan Gil earning his first minutes of the season in Tottenham Hotspur colours this season, as he posted on Instagram.
On Tuesday night, as Antonio Conte’s side recorded a 0-0 draw against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League, Bryan Gil was brought into the action for the final 12 minutes.
After warming the bench or being out of the squad since the start of the campaign, it was a relief for the Spanish winger to get back out on the pitch.
There have been suggestions that he wants to leave Spurs, after spending the previous campaign on-loan at Valencia, where he played alongside Soler.
Well, if his game time continues to be restricted, then expect Gil to head for the exit door during the January transfer window.
Until then, he posted on Instagram that he is ‘happy’ to get back out on the pitch again.
Several of Gil’s teammates or former teammates expressed their delight for the player in the comments section, including Giovani Lo Celso and Sergio Reguilon, whilst Soler posted ‘I am very glad, my friend. Let’s go.’
TOO MUCH QUALITY IN FRONT OF GIL
Whilst Gil is versatile and can play on either flank, in his current situation, he is going to struggle to get into this Tottenham side.
Son Heung-min will always be ahead of him, despite his indifferent form, whilst Dejan Kulusevski has done more in 10 months than Gil has done since joining last summer.
Then there is Richarlison, who is also making an impact following his summer transfer and another player, from the flanks, who is ahead of the Nuno Espirito Santo capture.
