Despite Liverpool‘s performances this season, Jurgen Klopp’s relationship with the club’s hierarchy remains untarnished.

At least, that’s what Fabrizio Romano has revealed to his YouTube channel.

According to the reliable Italian journalist, Klopp’s relationship with Fenway Sports Group is still ‘very good’ in spite of what’s been a disappointing seaso for Liverpool thus far.

Klopp’s side are 15 points behind Arsenal at the summit of the Premier League standings and have lost their last two domestic outings, against Nottingham Forest and Leeds United.

There’s been no suggestions that the German’s job is under threat at Anfield but it’s reassuring to know – according to Romano – that the relationship between him and Liverpool board is as strong as ever.

He told his YouTube channel: “What I can tell you is that from what I’m told, behind the scenes, the relationship is still very good between Klopp and the owners; between Klopp and the board.”

Despite things being okay at the moment, performances still definitely need to improve.

Yes, the former Borussia Dortmund boss has been a revelation for Liverpool down the years, but as a business they still need revenue acquired from getting into the Champions League.

And honestly, unless they win it this season, it’s looking doubtful as to whether they’ll even get into the competition next term.

Fourth-placed Newcastle United are eight points clear of them as things stand and given the contrast in both teams’ form, well the deficit will only increase you imagine unless Klopp fixes these issues – and fast.
