Daily Star reporter Paul Brown has told Give Me Sport that it is likely that Josip Juranovic will leave Celtic in the January window, and join a Premier League club. A handful of sides down south are said to be looking at the Croatia defender.

Juranovic, 27, is currently in Qatar, starring for his country as they prepare for the last 16. Having secured two clean sheets in three games against Belgium and Morocco, and a 4-1 win over Canada, they take on Daizen Maeda’s Japan.

But beyond the World Cup, Juranovic’s future is unclear. The ex-Dinamo Zagreb star has caught the eye at the World Cup and there is Premier League interest. 90Min report that West Ham are interested in a move for the right-back.

The Daily Mail say Chelsea and Manchester United are also keen. While his £16,000-a-week contract ends in June 2026, Brown says it seems pretty nailed on that he will be moving south come the January window. Interest is aplenty.

“It’ll be interesting, there is a pretty good chance that he leaves, I’m told that. And there’s no doubt he could end up in the Premier League because there have been two or three clubs watching them over the course of the season so far.”

Brown: It is likely Juranovic will leave Celtic in January and move south

West Ham, Chelsea or Manchester United? All three could do with a right-back, but Juranovic needs to be aware that he may struggle to start. West Ham need to replace Vladimir Coufal, who is likely to go in the January window, too.

He is out of contract in the summer. But the Hammers also have Thilo Kehrer and Ben Johnson. Manchester United may allow Aaron Wan-Bissaka to go, and need competition for Diego Dalot. Chelsea need cover for Reece James.

The England star remains sidelined with injury and a move to the Blues is also a possibility. So, while all three could do with a player like Juranovic, the Croatia star must also be aware that he might not be the first-choice option.
