Speaking on Rio Ferdinand’s YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano has shared how Antonio Conte is feeling at Spurs.

Conte’s time at Tottenham has been tumultuous thus far. He’s had some very good results, but Spurs have struggled to really climb the table, and they were also outclassed in the Carabao Cup semi-finals.

Conte had some complaints about his squad after that cup defeat to Chelsea, but Romano is led to believe that one thing he’s very happy about is the atmosphere around the club and in the dressing room.

What’s been said?

Romano shares what he knows about Conte’s mindset at the moment.

“Antonio is a fighter, so he’s together with the team and he’s together with the club. He expects an important summer for Tottenham, so the real mission will be in the summer to rebuild for Spurs with Antonio Conte. But in the end, he’s happy with the atmosphere he feels is at the club, I’m told, and in the dressing room too,” Romano said.

Good to hear

Spurs may be blowing hot and cold on the pitch at the moment, but it sounds as though things are going well behind the scenes.

If Conte can continue to cultivate this good atmosphere, then Spurs’ performances are bound to benefit.

Of course, things can change quickly in football, and a couple of bad results could see the dressing room at Spurs once again turn toxic, but right now, it seems as though Conte has managed to make everyone at the club happy.
