Mikel Arteta believes that his Arsenal side have turned a corner.

The Gunners endured a horrific start to the Premier League season by losing all three of their games before the international break.

But Arsenal picked up a first league win of the campaign last week by edging out Norwich City at the Emirates, beating the newly-promoted outfit 1-0.

Arteta’s side go to Burnley tomorrow afternoon before finishing September with a visit of Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby.

And the Spaniard, whose job remains very much under threat, has told the club’s official website he is certain that brighter days lie ahead.

He said: “I can really see the light. I’m telling you I’m very positive most of the time. I’ve seen the light and I can see bright lights. There can be bumps in the road within that light, but I can see a lot of light.”

Exciting

This is quite a confident statement by Arteta and one that’ll no doubt excite Arsenal fans.

After all, the 39-year-old coach sees these players up close and personal on the training ground every single day and if he claims that ‘bright lights’ are coming then that assessment simply has to be trusted.

Besides, who can blame him for feeling optimistic?

Arsenal have their best two central defenders fit tomorrow – Gabriel and Ben White – and Albert Sambi Lokonga could potentially partner Thomas Partey in midfield for the first time.

Slowly but surely, the North Londoners are growing stronger and few would back against them proving Arteta right by recording back-to-back wins tomorrow.
