Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Mikel Arteta has claimed that he’s sure that there’ll be more transfer activity from Arsenal this summer.
The Gunners have already been rather active in the window. They’ve signed Ben White, Albert Sambi Lokonga and Nuno Tavares, and it sounds as though they’re not finished yet.
Indeed, Arteta says that although Arsenal have done some things they’ve wanted to do, he’s sure there’s more to come.
What’s been said?
Arteta arrived at his first press conference of the season, and inevitably, one of the first questions he was asked was about transfers.
“Well, in this first period of the transfer window I think we’ve done a few things we wanted to do and it’s going to help us to get the squad in a much better place. There is still a bit of the window to go, so I’m sure things will happen either way,” Arteta said about the Gunners’ window.

Needs to be more
It’s great to hear Arteta saying this, because Arsenal certainly need to do more.
The Gunners need a creative midfielder through the door, while a new goalkeeper and a new right-back certainly wouldn’t go amiss.
Of course, what Arsenal end up doing remains to be seen, but there are a few areas that need bolstering between now and the end of the window, and it sounds as though Arteta has had assurances that there will be further additions.
