Jordan Henderson has stated that ‘I am sure’ Antonio Conte will make his mark at Tottenham and have a ‘big impact’ on the club, as he told Sky Sports.
It has been a whirlwind week in North London, with Spurs sacking Nuno Espirito Santo, then, led by Sporting director Fabio Paraitici, he brought his fellow countryman to the club.
Many inside Hotspur Way will ask the question as to why they didn’t do that in the first place because it was well-documented that they wanted him in the summer.
Either way, whatever long road Spurs have gone down own, they can now argue that they have one of the best coaches in the Premier League, and that’s some going with the talent around.
Henderson himself works under probably the best of the best in Jurgen Klopp and he is certain that Conte will do well at Spurs, as their fans will love what he had to say.
“He’s a huge manager in world football really,” said Henderson. “With what he has achieved in the game.
“So, to come to the Premier League, I am sure he will make his mark on the Spurs squad and make them compete at the highest level.
“He will try to go in there and do that straight away, so I am sure he will have a big impact and like you say, it’s another big manager in the Premier League.”

Conte’s work visa has come through which means that he will be able to be in the dugout for Tottenham’s Europa Conference League game against Vitesse.
It’s going to take time for Conte to get this Spurs team moving the way he wants to be.
But one thing that will fans will probably be able to see within a few games is the sheer work rate, aggression and demand the players perform with when they are without the ball.
That bite and extra push just seemed to be lacking under Nuno Espirito Santo, but you can bet your bottom dollar, it’s going to be there in bucket loads under the no-nonsense Conte.
