Johansson worked with Morelos at Rangers, and he believes that the Colombia international striker can score goals in the top flight of English football.
According to The Scottish Sun, Newcastle and Everton are among the clubs interested in signing the 23-year-old in the summer transfer window.
Leicester City, Crystal Palace and West Ham United are also credited with interest in the Rangers striker.
Johansson told The Daily Record about Morelos: “There are so many good strikers. The big clubs can buy almost who they want and the competition is tough. But I’m sure Alfredo would score in the Premier League.
“Of course, it has to be the right fit, with the right manager and team around him. There are a lot of things that will determine how successful he’ll be.
“And depending on the price, that will dictate which clubs are in the market for him. But the one thing I know is that if you give him the chance, he’ll be able to put them away – even at that level.”
