Jamie Carragher has said on Sky Sports Premier League (10:14pm, December 6, 2021) that it was Rafael Benitez who signed Demarai Gray for Everton, and not Marcel Brands.
The former Liverpool defender made the comments about Gray following Everton’s 2-1 win against Arsenal at Goodison Park on Monday night.
Gray scored the winner in the Premier League game with a stunning effort in the second minute of injury time.

Everton signed Gray from Bayer Leverkusen for £1.7 million in the summer of 2021 (BBC Sport).
