Some Everton fans on social media have been reacting to an update about Serge Aurier after his release from Tottenham Hotspur.
Sky Sports journalist Michael Bridge claims that the Ivorian wants to stay in England after his release from Spurs, while he also claims that he’s open to a move to Arsenal.
As you can imagine, Everton supporters had plenty to say about this, and there were two ways fans viewed this situation.
One view the fanbase had was surrounding the situation of Ainsley Maitland-Niles, who the Toffees famously tried to sign on deadline day.
Maitland-Niles was quite clearly not happy with his treatment at Arsenal, making his feelings very clear on Instagram, and Everton supporters believe he’ll be even more unhappy if Aurier is signed as it would make the squad even more bloated.
Other supporters believe that the Merseyside club should make a move for Aurier himself, focusing more on the fact he wants to stay in England.
