Adebayo Akinfenwa has told the Saturday Social on Sky Sports (10/10/20 at 10:25 am) he believes he’s “stronger” than Wolves winger Adama Traore.

The Wycombe striker made it clear the Wolves man is faster than him but he was adamant Traore doesn’t match him when it comes to pure power.

In the latest edition of the popular console game FIFA, Akinfenwa is regarded as the strongest player in the game with a mammoth strength of 97 out of 99 [Squawka].

When Akinfenwa was asked who is stronger between himself and Wolves’ speedster on the wing, he wasn’t too pleased with the question.

“What sort of question is this?” Akinfenwa asked on Sky Sports. “That’s like asking who is faster? We all know the answer to that.

“He’s much faster. Would I say much? But I wouldn’t be arrogant. I am stronger. Let’s move on quickly.”

Traore has two devastating qualities to his bow – pace and power – which ensures many opposition defenders have sleepless nights when they have to come up against him.

But during these past 18 or so months, Traore has added so much more to his game. From improving his end product, being calmer in possession. He no longer relies on pace or power alone.

When Traore attracts a number of players towards him, rather than attack the space in-behind, he’ll play a simple pass to a more advanced teammate, who will have acres of space around them. All of which has helped him become one of the most improved players in the league last season.
