Nottingham Forest won’t be signing Kamil Grosicki any time soon with the Poland international telling Super Express he plans to fight for his place at West Bromwich Albion.
In January, Slaven Bilic’s Baggies signed a pair of proven Championship stars while their promotion hopes hung in the balance.
Nine months on, West Brom are indeed playing Premier League football again.
But, while Callum Robinson has taken to the top flight like the proverbial duck to water, firing home two clinical finishes in the 3-3 draw with Chelsea, the other winter arrival is slipping down the pecking order fast.
An £800,000 signing from Hull City, Grosicki has yet to play a single second in the Premier League this season.
The 32-year-old has even been left out of the squad for each of the last three games.
But, despite being linked with a move to long-time admirers Nottingham Forest, Grosicki isn’t going to give up on his West Brom career yet.
“I’m at a training camp for the national team and I’m just going to train,” Grosicki said. “And what next? I’m staying at West Bromwich Albion for the moment and I’m fighting for a place in the squad.”

The Birmingham Mail reported Olympiakos expected to sign the former Rennes and Legia Warsaw ace before loaning him to Nottingham Forest.
Both clubs are owned by Greek shipping magnate Evangelos Marinakis and have a history when it comes to exchanging players.
The window has now closed for Olympiakos but Forest, interestingly, have until 16 October to add to their squad.
But would Grosicki really leave a top-flight club for a Forest team in crisis and without a point to its name after four league games?
