Leeds United fans do not appear at all keen on the idea of signing Ryan Kent from Rangers.

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has now revealed that Leeds have made an offer for Kent, but it was swiftly turned down.

The Light Blues boss suggested that Leeds’ initial offer was well below Rangers’ valuation of the winger.

“We want the player to see here, as do the board,” he said to the club’s official Twitter account.

“The fans love him also and Leeds will need to respect that, they need to really think hard if they want to come in again. I have spoken to Ryan and he is totally focused on the match tomorrow.”

And Leeds fans do not appear keen on the idea of going back with a second bid for the 23-year-old.

Indeed, many are surprised that they even made an offer for the wide-man in the first place.

Marcelo Bielsa is apparently the main driving force behind Leeds’ interest in Kent, as he is a major fan of the winger, the Sun report.

However, it is true that the former Liverpool man may need to improve to make a real impact in the Premier League.

Kent has shown flashes of quality during his time at Rangers so far, but still needs to become a more consistent threat, if he is to fulfill his obvious potential.
