Jack Wilshere has been speaking to talkSPORT about Arsenal and their chances of qualifying for the Champions League this season.
What’s the story?
Well, he may be slightly biased, but Wilshere believes Arsenal can finally make a return to the Champions League this season.
Interestingly, the 29-year-old believes the Gunners will do it ‘because of Manchester United’ – quite the claim.
When asked if he sees Arsenal finishing in the top four, Wilshere told talkSPORT: “I can, because of (Manchester) United. I’m sorry, I don’t think United are bad, but with all the pressure on them and the stuff surrounding Ole, it’s going to be interesting.”
We can understand where he’s coming from.
The Red Devils are a mess right now under Ole Gunnar Solskjær, and also have Champions League football on their schedule.
While European football is a privilege, it can also be a hindrance, one that Arsenal don’t have to worry about this season.

Even if Manchester United end up failing to reach the Last 16, they will still have to contend with Europa League football if they finish third in Group F.
Forget Manchester United, Arsenal can do it
Even without the help of Manchester United’s awfulness, the Gunners have enough in their locker to finish in the top four.
As we saw today, they are good enough to beat Leicester, who will be up there challenging for the Champions League positions as well.

The north Londoners are also on an impressive nine game unbeaten run, with seven of those fixtures ending with a win.
Forget Solskjær and his struggles at Old Trafford, Mikel Arteta can do this without others needing to hold his hand.
After so much misery, things look to be improving at the Emirates Stadium.
