Some Liverpool fans on Twitter are furious over hearing that Mohamed Salah has missed out on the Player of the Month award to Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Premier League announced today that the Manchester United star had won the award for the month of September.

Ronaldo scored three goals in as many games for the Red Devils, but Liverpool fans aren’t the least bit happy.

That’s because their boy, Salah, also netted three Premier League goals.

Here’s what some Liverpool supporters are saying on Twitter:

Robbery?

This isn’t quite the robbery that some Liverpool fans are claiming.

There’s no doubt that Salah is the man of the moment right now, but largely because of his goal against Manchester City, which didn’t come in September.

During that month as a whole, Salah and Ronaldo – who scored the same amount of goals, with neither setting one up – were relatively even.

But with the 36-year-old returning to the Premier League after 12 years, three goals in as many games in September was a fine way in which to resume your career in English football and that probably swung it for him.

But the Liverpool attacker has kicked off October in scintillating fashion and with the Egypt international coming up against Ronaldo himself at Old Trafford on the 24th, he can certainly help his cause to win the award this month if he leads the Reds to victory at the Theatre of Dreams.
