Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to react after Tyler Roberts commented on the club’s start to the season under Marcelo Bielsa.
What’s the story?
Well, the 22-year-old spoke to BBC Radio Leeds about the club’s 2021/22 campaign so far, which has been quite miserable in all honesty.
Leeds have won just one of their eight Premier League games so far, losing four and drawing three with just six points to their name.
However, Roberts doesn’t think Leeds have anything to worry about.
As quoted by the Yorkshire Evening Post, the 18-cap Wales international said: “We are aware that we have had a bumpy start to the season but we don’t feel like it is anything to worry about.”
Now, you can understand why the Leeds fans below are annoyed with these comments.
Roberts also described his own start to the season as ‘decent’ – with all due respect, no goals or assists in ten outings isn’t decent, in our view.
Leeds need Tyler Roberts to be realistic

There’s nothing wrong with being positive, although when that positivity is blind and unjust, there’s a problem.
Make no mistake about it, Leeds have been woeful this season, and the players need to address the fact they’re now up against it.
In our view, Leeds won’t be in a relegation battle, although they will sleepwalk into one if Roberts and others continue to kid themselves.

Bielsa can argue that injuries have gone against Leeds, and that would be a fair point.
However, everyone suffers with a few injury problems – you simply cannot make excuses or feel sorry for yourself in the Premier League.
For now, let’s see what the Leeds fans on Twitter have been saying about the comments from Roberts…
