Patrice Evra has suggested that FIFA have been a little generous when determining how physically strong Mohamed Salah of Liverpool really is.

The good men and women at EA Sports have given the Reds attacker a physical rating of 75.

This is two points less than his old Liverpool teammate Sadio Mane.

And the former Juventus left-back, who came up against Salah at Fiorentina and Roma, has said that the stats people at FIFA got this one all wrong, claiming that the Liverpool forward isn’t ‘phsyical at all’.

He said on his YouTube channel: “No I’m sorry. This cannot be just two [less than Mane]. Salah is not physical at all. I’m sorry. I never had a difficult game against Salah. I always enjoyed playing against him. I’m fine.”

Evra might be being a little overly harsh on the Liverpool superstar here, to be honest.

Okay so the Egypt international – a £36 million signing by the Reds in 2017 [The Guardian] – is hardly Adama Traore, but he does have upper-body strength, as demonstrated at times in a 1-0 defeat by Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Even if Salah was about as sturdy as a packet of crisps, it doesn’t matter too much.

He is still one of Europe’s best players and although he has struggled at times this season, a Champions League hat-trick inside six minutes on his last European adventure is a reminder of that.
