Speaking on the Wrighty’s House Podcast, Ian Wright has given his view on Antonio Conte’s future at Tottenham Hotspur.

The Italian manager arrived at Spurs back in November, but life in north London isn’t quite going to plan for the gaffer.

Indeed, Spurs haven’t really made up much ground in the race for the top four, and Conte has now lost three league games in a row at Tottenham.

The former Chelsea boss is notoriously difficult to please, and Wright believes that he could end up leaving Tottenham sooner rather than later.

What’s been said?

Wright gave his view on the Italian’s future.

“I feel for Conte, because unless they’ve told him that they will give him everything he wants in the summer, I can’t see him staying there. Spurs can’t carry on how they are now, nothing happening in January, with a manager like Conte, a winning manager, a manager who wants his team to be aggressive, and the way Spurs are now, I’m sorry, those two goals against Wolves? Come on man,” Wright said.

Chance to show they’re serious

This is Spurs’ chance to really show that they’re serious about becoming a force in English football.

For far too long Tottenham have let great teams and great opportunities pass them by, and they can’t afford for that to happen again here.

Conte is arguably the best club manager in the world, and if they back him, he will bring them success.

However, if they don’t manage to appease their gaffer, it won’t be long until he’s thinking about leaving.

As Wright says, if Tottenham don’t give Conte what he wants, he may start to question his position.
