Some Leeds United fans on social media are split after hearing that Pascal Struijk could be in line for his first international call-up with Belgium.
The young defender is eligible to play for either Belgium, Netherlands or Indonesia, but reports are claiming that Roberto Martinez is pushing hard for him to play for the Red Devils.
As you can imagine, some Leeds fans were buzzing to see their player get recognition like this from one of the best national teams in the world.
Indeed, some fans on social media were over the moon for Struijk, and we can imagine the player himself is probably very pleased with this development.

However, there is the other side of things to consider.
Indeed, some Leeds fans don’t like the idea of Struijk going to play international football because of the number of injuries that have occurred on international duty lately.
An injury to Struijk is the last thing Leeds need right now with the likes of Robin Koch and Diego Llorente already out of action, so you can understand where this sort of concern is coming from.
Whether or not Struijk is actually called up remains to be seen, but if he is given a chance on the international scene, we can only hope for Leeds fans’ sakes he remains injury free.
