Saturday was a good day for Tottenham Hotspur players on international duty.

Harry Kane fired England into the semi-final of Euro 2020, where he’ll come up against Spurs team-mate and Denmark international Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

But it’s also been a brilliant last 24 hours for Tottenham centre-back Davinson Sanchez.

Sanchez had a stellar game as Colombia beat Uruguay this morning to advance into the semi-final of the Copa America.

During the shootout, the Lilywhites powerhouse also expertly scored his penalty.

In the game itself, Sanchez clocked a passing success of 90 percent and managed six ball recoveries, along with five clearances.

Here’s how some Spurs fans reacted to his heroics in the early hours.

At risk

Sanchez hasn’t always courted praise from Tottenham fans and that’s because of his level of performance, which hasn’t always been stellar.

In fact, he might be at risk this summer.

With Nuno Espirito Santo and Fabio Paratici taking control of transfers in North London now, last night’s display wouldn’t have harmed Sanchez’s chances of saving his Spurs career.

Then again, the North Londoners are reportedly trying to sign as many as three centre-backs this summer, which could be bad news for the former Ajax star, who cost £42 million four years ago.
