Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after Ramy Abbas Issa – agent of Mohamed Salah – posted a very cryptic tweet.

What’s the story?

Well, this has got the Liverpool fans talking, as the post was incredibly mysterious.

Abbas Issa posted a photo of Salah laughing in Liverpool training gear, as he lurks in the background on his phone.

Some Liverpool fans have suggested that it means Fenway Sports Group (FSG) have made the 29-year-old a laughable contract offer.

However, others felt it could mean a deal is close – or even done – with the photo of Salah laughing implying that he is delighted.

After noticing photos of Salah’s best moments in the background, some fans also felt it could actually be a screenshot from an imminent announcement video.

Having said that, the Egypt international is wearing New Balance training gear in the photo, so it’s old – Liverpool have since changed to Nike.

Nevertheless, it’s a very interesting tweet – to say the least.

Liverpool should have no qualms about keeping Mohamed Salah

If FSG are concerned about handing a new contract to a player soon to enter his thirties, they needn’t worry.

Nowadays, some players are actually enjoying the best years of their careers when they enter their thirties.

Just take a look at Karim Benzema, who is shining for Real Madrid this season at the age of 34 – the Frenchman has 24 goals in 27 games.

Salah will be 30 in June, but he is a top professional who takes good care of his body – due to his religious beliefs, he also doesn’t drink alcohol.

The ex-Chelsea man is in fantastic physical shape, and is getting better and better from a technical aspect – it feels like there’s still more to come from him.

Simply put, if Liverpool don’t tie him down to a new contract, they will live to regret it.

For now, let’s see what the Liverpool fans on Twitter have been saying about Abbas Issa’s tweet…
