Speaking to Sky Sports’ YouTube channel, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has gone on the record to say how impressed he has been with Emile Smith-Rowe at Arsenal.
The attacking midfielder has been something of a revelation in the Arsenal squad lately, assisting three goals in the league this season, and Aubameyang has been very impressed by what he’s seen.
Of course, Aubameyang isn’t the only one, fans and pundits alike have been praising the 20-year-old in recent weeks, but it’s still great to get praise from the club captain.
“Yeah, I’m really impressed and I’m really happy for him because he had his injury on the shoulder and now he’s back on top and we’re all happy for him because he’s a humble guy, he’s always working hard and he’s really quiet and shy a bit, so we’re all happy for him,” Aubameyang said.
To impress a player of Aubameyang’s talent you must be doing something right.

Smith-Rowe has quickly established himself as one of Arsenal’s most important players, and if he can keep up this form he may well end up being Mesut Ozil’s long-term successor.
The best thing about these comments is that Aubameyang says Smith-Rowe has worked hard for this, and it’s that type of mindset and work ethic that could see him become one of the Premier League’s top players one day.
The youngster still has a long career ahead of him, but he’s definitely doing a lot of things right at the moment.
