Sassuolo winger Jeremie Boga believes he is ready for a new challenge amid claims that he is a target for Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur and Everton, speaking to Telefoot.

This fleet-footed Frenchman might be convinced that he can emulate Eden Hazard at some point in his career but even comparisons with a Stamford Bridge legend did not convince Chelsea to trigger the buy-back clause in Boga’s contract.

That does not mean, however, that the 23-year-old will not be running rings around defenders in England’s top flight next season.

Goal reported in April that Boga is a target for Everton and Brighton, 12 months after Chelsea sold the former Stamford Bridge youngster for just £3.5 million.

Boga is understood to be valued closer to £13 million these days with Calciomercato suggesting in March that Tottenham could look to add another speedy wideman to a squad chock-full of exciting wingers.

The Marseille-born Ivory Coast international is not guaranteed to leave Sassuolo this summer but, speaking after Serie A football resumed this weakened, he has made it clear that offers will be considered.

“I am ready for a new chapter,” Boga says.

“Nothing is definitive yet. I spoke to coach Roberto De Zerbi to have a better understanding of the situation. I am ready for a new challenge, whether it is in Italy or abroad, but I could remain at Sassuolo too.

“I have no regrets, as I made the right decision in leaving Chelsea. I think that was the best choice I could’ve made in the circumstances.

“I am having the best season of my career so far.”

With eight goals and four assists in all competitions, a former Birmingham City loanee has started to add a ruthless edge to his searing pace and skill on the ball.

But it’s fair to say that Boga has a long way to go before Hazard can consider him to be an equal.
