Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang reminded Arsenal fans of his quality on Wednesday night.
The Gunners thumped West Brom 6-0 at The Hawthorns to move into the third round of the EFL Cup.
And it was a hat-trick from the Gabon international which helped Arsenal move into the next phase of the competition.
Aubameyang has been one of the Premier League’s most lethal marksmen since arriving from Borussia Dortmund in 2018.
But 15 goals in all competitions last season was a huge drop-off for a player of his talents.
That being said, the 32-year-old hitman remains absolutely ruthless on his day and third goal of the night was testament to that, with Aubameyang cutting inside his marker and floating one into the top corner.
It was an Arsenal debut for Aaron Ramsdale against Albion and the Gunners’ £30 million goalkeeper has admitted to the club’s official website that he’s delighted to be a teammate of Aubameyang these days, rather than an opposition player.
