Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has been linked with Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.
According to journalist Niccolo Ceccarini in April 2023, Arsenal are favourites to secure the services of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic in the summer transfer window, while CMW reported in March 2023 that Liverpool are keen on signing the 28-year-old Serbia international midfielder.
Milinkovic-Savic is out of contract at Lazio in the summer of 2024.
And Lazio head coach Maurizio Sarri has suggested that it would make sense for the Italian club to sell the 28-year-old midfielder in the summer of 2023 and get a transfer fee if he does not agree a new deal.
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has quoted Sarri as saying about Milinkovic-Savic: “I’m not sure… it makes sense to keep him if we agree on new deal otherwise it’d be bad to lose him as free agent”.

Potential Sergej Milinkovic-Savic boost for Liverpool and Arsenal
In our view, Liverpool and Arsenal’s chances of signing Sergej Milinkovic-Savic from Lazio in the summer transfer window have been boosted by Maurizio Sarri’s comments.
It seems that Lazio are in a conundrum now.
Now, of course, we know that Milinkovic-Savic is a very good midfielder and is at the top of his game at the moment.
If the Serbian does not sign a new deal now, then Lazio would seriously have to consider selling him for a good transfer fee.
And that would enhance Liverpool and Arsenal to make bids.
Both Arsenal and Liverpool are massive clubs, and we believe that the Gunners and the Reds should seriously consider putting offers in.
