Some Arsenal fans on social media have been reacting to Martin Odegaard’s re-debut, and it’s fair to say they were very impressed by the Norwegian.
The midfielder couldn’t have picked a better game to re-debut in, he came on in what was a very comfortable 6-0 win, and he managed to grab two assists.
His assist for Bukayo Saka’s goal was utter class, and inevitably, it drew comparisons to Mesut Ozil, the man he was brought in to replace.
It’s of course a long season, and we don’t want to get ahead of ourselves just yet, but after a poor start to the campaign, it looks as though the former Real Madrid man could be key to turning the Gunners’ fortunes around.
Arsenal are yet to score a single goal in the league, but after hitting six on Wednesday evening, it looks as though they may be able to build a bit of momentum in the coming weeks.
Odegaard was fantastic, and he’ll have to be at his very best this weekend if the north London outfit are going to get anything against Manchester City.
