Speaking on the Official Leeds United Podcast, Jermaine Beckford has been waxing-lyrical about Marcelo Bielsa after he signed his new deal with the club.
The Leeds fanbase have been on a bit of a downer after being hammered by Manchester United at the weekend, but let’s not forget that there is still a lot to be positive about at Elland Road.
Indeed, Marcelo Bielsa is here to stay, and Beckford says that nobody should be doubting the Argentine after one bad result.

Beckford was asked whether or not he’s happy about Bielsa’s new deal, to which he replied:
“Yeah absolutely the guy is a genius. I’m in awe of him, I love him and I think he’s phenomenal. He’s a fantastic guy and a fantastic manager. He doesn’t try to be something he’s not, he’s just himself. He knows what he has to do, he knows what he wants to do and he knows how to do it, it’s just about stringing all of those pieces together, and he seems to know what he was doing. The last game’s result aside, all in all, come on we can’t doubt the guy after one game,” Beckford said.
Best thing to happen
Leeds may be bottom of the Premier League after one game, but they surely won’t be there for long with Bielsa at the helm.
The Argentine has proven his worth at Elland Road, and as Beckford says, he’s a genius.
Nobody should be doubting him after the last two years he’s had at the club, and United are lucky to have him.
Bielsa is undoubtedly the best thing to happen to Leeds in a long time.
