Leeds United fans are ecstatic on Twitter after hearing that their deal to sign Rodrigo is edging ever closer.
The Daily Star have claimed that the Spanish striker has put pen-to-paper on a three-year contract at Elland Road, with the club paying a club-record £36 million for his services.
Valencia’s official Twitter account yesterday confirmed that an agreement has been reached with Leeds for their striker, but nothing has yet come from the Premier League club themselves.
There’s no doubt that this deal has moved at a rapid pace during the last 24 hours, but the deal will only be completed until it has been confirmed at both ends.
But it’s quite obvious that it’s just a case of the last details being ironed out and sealed, as Leeds fans cannot believe that they have managed to secure such a big signing.
Other than their previous loan players, and a few youngsters, the Whites really haven’t made themselves heard in the transfer market.

But this news will echo around the Premier League that Leeds are back and they mean business ahead of the new campaign, which starts in September.
Rodrigo is a versatile player, who can play out wide, up top, and even as a number 10, so there’s no doubt that Marcelo Bielsa will be using all his skills to get the best out of him.
