Sheffield Wednesday boss Garry Monk has confirmed that Rangers target Morgan Fox will be leaving his side at the end of this season in the Examiner.
TeamTalk have claimed that Rangers are taking a keen interest in the left-back, with Steven Gerrard eager to snap him up.
And Gerrard is sure to have taken note of Monk’s comments, which confirm that the Rangers target is about to become a free agent.
“I have loved working with him. I am hugely disappointed that he is not staying here,” Monk said.
“It is sad to lose him. I will be trying to persuade him on the bus journey home to extend at least!”
If Fox did join Rangers he could provide vital cover at left-back, with change expected at Ibrox in the position.
Both Andy Halliday and Jon Flanagan are set to leave Rangers, which leaves space for another left-back to come in.

Fox would compete with Borna Barisic for a spot in Gerrard’s side if he did join.
Fox actually came under fire at the start of his Wednesday career, but has improved more recently under Monk.
The 26-year-old has played 32 times in total for Wednesday this term, scoring three goals and claiming one assist.
