Speaking on his YouTube channel, Rio Ferdinand has shared what he’s been hearing about Aston Villa training under Steven Gerrard.
The Villans have entered a new era after appointing Gerrard earlier this month, and things have been going rather swimmingly on the pitch so far.
Indeed, the Midlands club have won both of Gerrard’s opening two league games, while it also sounds as though things are going well behind the scenes.
Ferdinand says that he’s heard some brilliant things coming out of Bodymoor Heath, claiming that Villa’s playing staff are very impressed by the standard of coaching they’re receiving and that everyone is enjoying the recent sessions.
What’s been said about Gerrard’s training?
Ferdinand shared what he’s been hearing about Gerrard’s training.
“Listen, I’m hearing some really really good vibes coming out of Villa. The way they’re training, they’re super impressed with the coaching staff, the clarity with which they’re training, they have a clear idea of what they want to do, they are enjoying the sessions and they’re getting the results right now, so, there’s some really positive stuff coming out of there,” Ferdinand said.

Pathway to success
Gerrard may have only been in charge for a few weeks at Villa, but it sounds as though he’s already got them on the pathway to success.
The Midlands club have won twice conceding just one goal so far under Gerrard, and it sounds as though these training sessions have been enjoyable as well as beneficial.
Villa’s squad seem to be very happy and they’re also learning every day, and if this continues, the Gerrard era could be very fruitful for the Villans.
