Speaking on the Die for Three Points Podcast, Neil Warnock has been discussing Newcastle United’s rise to being top four challengers this season.
The Magpies have been performing above all expectations so far this term as the look to qualify for the Champions League for the first time in almost 20 years.
There seems to be a real positive feeling surrounding St James’ Park at the moment with players such as Miguel Almiron, Joelinton and Fabian Schar shining brighter than many ever thought possible.
Warnock has been more than impressed by United so far this season, and he says that he’s hearing that the mood in the dressing room has been nothing short of unbelievable.

Newcastle’s dressing room is incredible
Warnock shared what he’s heard about United.
“I hope Newcastle don’t get carried away now and go and be silly spending big money on players who will disrupt the dressing room. The dressing room, I’m hearing it’s been unbelievable hasn’t it? They’re all excited,” Warnock said.
Not surprising
It’s not a shock at all to hear that Warnock has been told that the dressing room at Newcastle is brilliant at the moment.
This is a group of players that has improved ten-fold since Eddie Howe took over, and every single player is riding the crest of a wave.
As Warnock says, this Newcastle team has shown that signing big names isn’t always the way to do things. They’ve been patient and clever with their recruitment, targeting players who fit into the club’s ethos, and their faith is being repaid.
Newcastle can continue this form for as long as their dressing room atmosphere doesn’t change.
