Jamie Redknapp has shared that he is hearing ‘really good things’ about Arsenal talent, Charlie Patino, as he told Sky Sports Football (22/12/21 at 10:05 pm).

The Sky pundit added that Patino has a ‘star name’ and ‘a lot of people’ are talking about the rising Arsenal youngster.

On Tuesday night, the 18-year-old came off the bench to score on his debut and help Arsenal beat Sunderland 5-1 in the League Cup quarter-finals.

It was a dream debut for the teenage star that has been talk of Hale-End for some while now.

Well, it seems as though some of that talk is also filtering through to Redknapp as he spoke about Patino in a positive light yesterday.

“This young man a lot of people are talking about, Charlie Patino,” said Redknapp.

“He’s got a star name, hasn’t he? He sounds the part and I am hearing really good things about him. Let’s hope he does it.”

Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka are prime examples that the future is bright for Patino.

The path is set for him to break into Mikel Arteta’s first-team squad on a regular basis and showcase to the footballing world what he is all about.

It’s the young guns that are showing the way forward at the Emirates and Patino will be hoping to be part of that journey during the coming years.

Arsenal have continued to stagnate for well over a decade now and they are trying their utmost best to get back to the glory days.

These Hale-End stars are providing the supporters with the hope that they can return to those days sooner rather than later.
