Some Leeds United fans on social media have been reacting after it was reported that the Whites are interested in Brenden Aaronson from RB Salzburg.
What’s the story with Aaronson?
The Athletic claimed that the Whites have made a bid for the US international, but unfortunately for Leeds, that was swiftly rejected.
However, all hope is not lost. According to The Daily Mail, Leeds are ready to put in a second offer for the 21-year-old.
It seems as though Leeds are very keen on the youngster, but Leeds supporters don’t quite share that level of enthusiasm.
RB connection
Leeds fans are rather worried about this deal simply because of the club Aaronson would be signing from.
RB Salzburg are, of course, a part of the Red Bull stable of clubs, which includes RB Leipzig – a club Leeds are currently stuck in a dispute with.
In case you had forgotten, Leeds are currently in the process of appealing a ruling regarding Jean-Kevin Augustin’s loan move from Leipzig to Leeds, and that is reportedly due in front of the Court of Arbitration for Sport next month.
Leeds fans are worried that Red Bull may not want to do any more business with the Yorkshire club, while others are concerned that Aaronson could be just like Augustin, who, with all due respect, wasn’t very good for the Whites.
